Where Peace
Meets Purpose

An integrated African family farm โ€” a sanctuary of
grace, abundance, faith, and belonging.

"The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands."
Deuteronomy 28:12

Born of Faith,
Built for Legacy

Kitile Amazing Grace Farm is more than land โ€” it is a living covenant between a family and the earth. Nestled in the verdant hills of Mwala Sub-County, this is the upcountry home of Joseph and Faith Mutinda, and their children Misha and Mina.

"We didn't just build a farm. We built a place where our children grow with roots deep in the earth and souls anchored in grace."

Every orchard tree planted, every animal cared for, is an act of deliberate faith in tomorrow. This is not merely a farm โ€” it is a family's prayer made visible.

Joseph & Faith
Mutinda

This farm is their love letter to the land โ€” their investment in the future, and their gift to their children. Built on prayer, watered by faith, growing in grace.

Misha Mina

"For them, we plant. For them, we build. For them, we grow."

Words from the Heart

Every time we come back to the farm, something in us settles. The noise of the city fades, the children run barefoot in the grass, and we remember what matters most.

โ€” Joseph & Faith Mutinda, Founders

The orchard is my favourite place on earth. Every tree we planted together is a memory. Every fruit it bears is a blessing we didn't deserve but received with gratitude.

โ€” Faith Mutinda

When I see my children feeding the goats, chasing the guinea fowl, and learning where food really comes from โ€” I know we made the right choice building this farm.

Faith & Love

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."
Proverbs 3:5โ€“6

The Story of
Kitile Amazing
Grace Farm

Long before the first tree was planted, Joseph and Faith Mutinda carried a vision โ€” a quiet, persistent dream of a place in the hills of Machakos where family could breathe, children could grow, and the rhythms of nature could restore what the city slowly drains.

Kitile Village, with its ancient hills, generous rains, and rich red soil, became the home of that vision. This farm is not merely a project โ€” it is a declaration. A declaration that land can be loved, that nature can be tended with grace, and that a family's deepest roots are in the earth they steward.

"The name says everything. This farm is our grace โ€” God's undeserved gift to our family, tended with gratitude every single day."

Every fence post, every seedling, every animal welcomed into this space has been touched by intention. This is not a commercial operation first โ€” it is a home, a sanctuary, a gift, and a legacy being built one season at a time.

"We farm not just for food,
but for the soul."

Planted in Faith,
Growing in Grace

The orchard at Kitile Amazing Grace Farm is not just a collection of fruit trees โ€” it is a deliberate act of hope. Every species selected, every seedling planted, represents the Mutinda family's commitment to abundance, beauty, and the slow, patient work of cultivation.

The hillside of Kitile Village, with its rich volcanic soil, adequate rainfall, and warm days, is perfectly suited to a remarkable diversity of tropical and semi-tropical fruits. The vision: an orchard that produces throughout the year โ€” a perpetual harvest of colour, flavour, and fragrance.

More Than Fruit โ€”
A Living Legacy

The orchard is envisioned not just as a productive agricultural space, but as an experience. Visitors will one day walk through its rows, guided by the seasons, harvesting fruit with their own hands and understanding, for a brief moment, the extraordinary miracle of a seed becoming abundance.

A Designed
Landscape

The orchard is laid out in zones โ€” each carefully planned for maximum sunlight, airflow, cross-pollination, and visual beauty. Taller trees shelter the smaller ones. Flowering species attract pollinators to support the beehives.

Companion planting principles guide every decision โ€” ensuring soil health, natural pest management, and biodiversity throughout the orchard year-round.

Integrated Farming
in Harmony

โœ
"A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children, but a sinner's wealth is stored up for the righteous."
Proverbs 13:22

Life in Perfect
Harmony

At Kitile Amazing Grace Farm, farming is not a series of separate operations โ€” it is a living ecosystem. Cattle manure feeds the orchard. The orchard bloom feeds the bees. The bees pollinate the crops. The crops feed the animals. Every element nourishes every other.

This integrated approach, rooted in African farming wisdom and modern sustainable agriculture, produces a farm that is more resilient, more productive, and more beautiful than any monoculture could ever be.

Life at Amazing
Grace Farm

Farming as
Stewardship

โœ
"The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it."
Psalm 24:1

We Farm for
Future Generations

At Kitile Amazing Grace Farm, sustainability is not a trend โ€” it is a covenant. We believe we are stewards of this land, not owners. Our responsibility is to leave it richer, more alive, and more abundant than we found it.

Every practice, every decision, every season is guided by this core belief: the earth is a trust, and we are its careful, grateful custodians.

Six Pillars of
Sustainable Farming

๐Ÿ’ง
Water Harvesting
Strategic rainwater collection ponds, drip irrigation systems, and smart water scheduling ensure the farm uses water wisely throughout all seasons.
๐ŸŒฑ
Soil Health & Regeneration
Compost from animal waste, cover cropping, and minimal tillage build a living soil ecosystem that grows richer every year.
๐Ÿ”„
Integrated Farming Systems
Animals and crops exist in deliberate symbiosis. Manure feeds the trees. Trees shade the animals. Nothing is wasted. Everything cycles.
๐ŸŒ
Biodiversity Protection
Native trees, hedgerows, and wild corridors are preserved across the farm to protect birds, insects, and the natural web of life.
โ˜€๏ธ
Renewable Energy Vision
Solar water heating and future solar-powered operations are being planned to reduce the farm's footprint and energy costs.
๐Ÿšซ
Chemical-Free Agriculture
No synthetic pesticides or herbicides. Natural pest management through companion planting, biological controls, and the farm's biodiversity.

A Farm Without
Limits

What exists today at Kitile Amazing Grace Farm is only the beginning. The vision is far larger โ€” a model integrated farm that inspires, educates, nurtures, and welcomes all who come seeking peace, learning, and connection to the land.

The Mutinda family holds this vision not just as aspiration, but as assignment. They believe they are stewards of a place with extraordinary potential โ€” and they are building it, one faithful season at a time.

"We are planting trees under whose shade we may never sit. And we are at peace with that."
